Story:

A metro-centric story, the movie is about four couples with different sets of problems, the first couple (Kay Kay and Manisha) have got all comforts in life but what they lack completely is the love for each other, on the other hand there is another couple (Parvin-Rituparna) who have everything but trust for each other, then there is the third pair (Ankur-Nauheed Cyrusi) who have loads of love for each other but then not enough money to make their dreams come true, last but not the least there is the fourth pair (Ranvir Shorey-Sonali Kulkarni) who have money, wealth, love and everything but they do not have the time to spend with each other and bloom the relationship. As fate would have it, the couples encounter each other at some turn in life and everyone thinks that the other's life is going great guns while they are in the gutter. The truth is none of them is better off and everyone is in the same boat without knowing it. What happens in the end? Is there a solution to all this? Will there be one couple atleast who come out with smiling faces? All this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come out with a very thoughtful subject but he lost out big time on the presentation and the narration of the plot despite having some really talented pack of actors. The music was no good either and the cinematography was perfect to the metro audience level. The main culprit is the script which was flimsy and lacked any intensity while the editing desk seemed to be absent when the whole film was being screened. Screenplay was somewhat better but the other departments bombed. Kay Kay Menon was superb in his role while Manisha Koirala needs to do something about her looks and presentation. Rituparna was seductive as usual and her partner Parvin shared a good chemistry with her while showing the distrust. Sonali Kulkarni was a true revelation while Ranvir was equally competent and came out with a shocker. Nauheed Cyrusi was cute but did not have much to offer while Ankur has shown some promising talent. Though the performances were good, the roles were limited which did not deliver the required impact for the success of a film.

Conclusion:
It is very nice to relate to issues that plague the modern society and the urban lifestyle couples but then things get really frustrating when the film is unable to connect with the audience in the right way. The first half takes off with a steady pace and builds up the somewhat required plot but then the second half is a total mess, adding woes to the wounds is the climax which is a total hotchpotch of utter confusion and dismay. At one point, the audience really doesn't understand what is being conveyed and there is no logic or bare common sense to the ending of the story. It is very hard for the movie to sustain at the box office and blame it on the writers and the director for spoiling a film that could have been a very thought provoking and interesting tale.

24Rocking Verdict: Can be ignored...
